Access regedit without logon to windows xp

I hope the title for this post help you to find the correct site that offer help to fix this problem. There many reason that make you want to access registry without having to logon to windows. What ever your reason is, here I teach you how to access it.

What you need:
1) An XP CD. That you always use to format your PC.Make sure the CD support REPAIR option.

Here is the step by step guide:
1. In BIOS, set boot option to boot using your CD.
2. When, the screen shows options either to format or to repair your windows, select repair.
3. Then, choose your windows directory. Type in 1 and Enter.
4. Put your Administrator password if asked. Just hit enter if Administrator has no password.
5. Type this:
    copy sethc.exe sethc.exe.old
    copy cmd.exe sethc.exe
    exit
6. At the logon screen, press shift key 5 times and voilla!!, a command prompt appear.
7. Type in regedit

Now, you can view the registry without having to logon to the windows.

Use USB drive to logon to Windows

To make it short as always :). Here is how to use it:. .
1. Plug in your thumbdrive, and opened up my computer to see what drive letter represent your thumdrive.
2. Install the software, and run it
3. Put in 14 digit code and the drive letter representing your thumdrive
4. Click Create My Flash Drive Key
5. Then, click on the second tab
6. Enable both logon options.

Then you can try to log off your PC and attach your thumdrive . Windows will load normally if the correct thumdrive is attached.

But, this software is not a secured program. You can still bypass it by quickly press CTRL-ALT-DEL.
Then load explorer.exe and kill the software process. That is it. So simple.
